THE ONENESS OF GOD

Elohim are ONE! (And Infinite!)

I have the questions throughout the study to stimulate the mind to ask what God is revealing. We are going to see into the scriptures hoping that God would bless us with understanding of His character, in this case His infinite unity in His plurality.  Let’s start with the “trinity”.

John 4:24 “God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.”  HOLY SPIRIT = FATHER
2Cor 3:17 “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.”
JESUS CHRIST = HOLY SPIRIT or another Spirit?
Matt 10:20 “For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”  FATHER = HOLY SPIRIT
Rom 8:9 “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
HOLY SPIRIT, FATHER, SON, One Spirit or three Spirits? Whose Spirit is it the Father’s or the Son’s?
1Cor 6:17 “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”  HOLY SPIRIT = US = LORD
Eph 4:4 “[There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;   ONE SPIRIT
Before Christ was the Lamb slain and raised from the Dead, and declared to be the Son of God, God was not yet a Father.  So in the beginning Christ was raised from the Dead declared to be the Son of God by God who THEN became the Father.  THIS DAY HAVE I BEGOTTED THEE! And Only Begotten Son!
So if the Son of God had His beginning, firstborn from the dead, as the Son, then the Father had His beginning as God the Father at that point, but Eternal God (the Holy Spirit) is with no beginning.  Then Melchizedek had no beginning or end, so was He the Holy Spirit, manifest in the flesh?
Genesis 14:18Heb 7:1-3 “For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.”
A question comes to mind.  If Christ as the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world was the sacrifice slain by the High Priest Melchizedek, and also Jesus is called Everlasting Father in Isaiah 9:6, and is of the similitude of Melchizedek, then was Melchizedek the one that declared Jesus Christ slain and raised to be the Son of God (Rom 1:4)?  Or is Melchizedek another part of Elohim, making this plural God more than three.  What I mean is, cannot Elohim point to infinite ways God shows Himself.  Because we have in the Bible God showing Himself as The Angel of the Lord, The Captain of the Lord’s Host, The Angel that wrestled with Jacob, Michael the archangel, the  Seven Spirits of God; the three men that met Abraham ( Gen 18:1-8) & so forth?

We know God is ONE!  (1 John 5:7)   Also we know God speaks of Himself as "Us" "'our image, after our likeness' (Genesis 1:26 *& 3:22), so if we say God is three in one, referring to the Father, Jesus the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit, then what do we call the rest of the examples above that I have given from the Bible, Cannot God as Elohim mean "Infinite" instead of three?
We know Jesus is called Everlasting Father, and the Bible says there is only ONE Father. (Eph4:6, 1 Cor 8:6, John 8:41; Matt 23:9; Malachi 2:10) If we call both as One and/or Two (of the three) and the Holy Spirit as three of the three, then would not Melchisedec be the fourth, and Michael the archangel be the fifth, and Seven Spirits of God, and so on.  You can see what I am saying.
God is INFINITE~! In all HIs aspects, in Power, Wisdom, Knowledge, Mercy, Love, in His ways to manifest Himself.

To be correct, we can say these three are one, referring to the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  But we would be incorrect to say this ONE is three persons.  Nowhere does the Bible say God is three persons.  In Genesis 1 & 3 the “us”, our likeness, our image, does not give a number that God represents, but it is in the Plural.  Elohim H430.  So the plural could represent infinity seeing all the ways God explains Himself and still be ONE Spirit One LORD, One Father.  But Melchisedec is not explained anywhere as the FATHER nor the SON, Nor the HOLY SPIRIT> He is explained to be made like the Son of God (Heb 7:3) And Jesus is explained to be after the similitude of Melchisedec (Heb 7:15), but they are different, as God speaks of the Father and Son are different, or the Son and the Holy Spirit are different.  So He would be; these four are ONE> and Michael the Archangel would be; these five are ONE> and plus the Seven Spirits of GOD would be; these twelve are ONE > and plus the four living creatures (Ezekiel 1) would be; these sixteen are ONE, > and plus the three men that met Abraham in the plains of Mamre would be; these nineteen are ONE, > plus the Voice of many Waters equals to Infinite God are ONE!!  Do you get the picture?   Going on to Eternity, Elohim is Infinity is our GOD!

Note: Facts on the origination of the word TRINITY:  First coined by Plato around 400 BC, He was known to have read the Five Books of Moses, Genesis to Deuteronomy.  Probably got the idea from Genesis 18:1-33 (the three men in the plains of Mamre). Idea first brought to the Christian religion by Justin Martyr (a student of Plato) around 150 AD.

Idea first declared a doctrine by the Catholics in 325 AD at the Nice council.
EXAMPLE OF THE LORD APPEARING TO ABRAHAM
We can see an example of this when God appeared to Abraham as three men.
Gen 18:1  And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, so do, as thou hast said. … And set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat. … And they said unto him, where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. … And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? … And he said, nay; but thou didst laugh. … And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;”

We can see how God been three men spoke to Abraham as ONE man “the LORD”, and then after they get ready to leave and go unto Sodom, it says;
Gen 18:21  I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.
Gen 18:22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
Gen 18:23  And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? … And the LORD said, if I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.
So Abraham stood there speaking to God, but God also went to Sodom? Next we see the account of the two angels in Sodom with Lot.  They are two of the three men that were with Abraham which became angels or messengers because they went there to deliver a message of judgment while the other one stood there with Abraham.  They were all God and they were all men.  Next we will see how men becomes ONE with God.

THE VOICE OF MANY WATERS

Ps 29:3 “The voice of the LORD [is] upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD [is] upon many waters.”

Jer 51:16 “When he uttereth [his] voice, [there is] a MULTITUDE of WATERS in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

Ezek 43:2 “And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice [was] like a NOISE OF MANY WATERS: and the earth shined with his glory.”

Rev 1:15 “And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the SOUND OF MANY WATERS.”
Rev 14:2 “And I heard a voice from heaven, as the VOICE OF MANY WATERS, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:”

Voice of many Waters equals to Infinite God.

Rev 19:5 “And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.  And I heard as it were the VOICE OF A GREAT MULTITUDE, and as the VOICE OF MANY WATERS, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.”

These many waters points to the elect of God with ONE Spirit in them and they are all ONE!! !.

John 10:30 “I and [my] Father are one.”
John 17:21 “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
John 17:11 “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are].”

We are ONE with God!  We’re not a separate entity out there trying to “please”

Him.  Amen!
