Matt 5:27 "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou
shalt not commit adultery"
Jesus is referring to the physical law; Exod 20:14 "Thou shalt not commit adultery.”
Jesus is referring to the physical law; Exod 20:14 "Thou shalt not commit adultery.”
Lev 20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with [another] man's wife,
[even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and
the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
[even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and
the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
Matt 5:28 "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after
her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."
her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."
Jesus is saying, that it’s not the obedience to the physical law He is so concerned with, that
law is not designed to lead us to salvation, justification, sanctification, glorification or
anything , but to show us our sinful nature, Rom 7:7 "What
shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by
the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.”

shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by
the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.”
So, what law is HE concerned with? The spiritual law, Rom 7:14 "For we know that the
law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.” That is the law He wants us to
submit to, Rom 3:27 "Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of
works? Nay: but by the law of faith.”

Moreover, Jesus is saying that in our heart and mind (carnal, physical), we will lust after the woman and we are always going to commit adultery. You might say, oh! Not me, I can look
at a woman and not lust after her. I would say that you are either lying or may be God is
restraining that particular lust from you so that you’re able not to lust after the woman so
you can be an eunuch, but the Bible guarantees, you will lust after other things and would
be found lacking or coming short of fulfilling the law, or being holy and righteous which is
the measure; (Mat 5:48) "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect".
You see, that is good because God wants to close us in, or better said, He wants to hedge our
flesh in, so that it cannot escape the fact that it is guilty all the time and can never glory in
itself, so that God would get all the glory, “God be true, but every man a liar”.
flesh in, so that it cannot escape the fact that it is guilty all the time and can never glory in
itself, so that God would get all the glory, “God be true, but every man a liar”.
Now, if you think that because God gave us a new heart, we do not have a fleshly heart, and therefore we now have a “pure”, “holy” heart, then you are not understanding the work of
Grace. We don’t have to go too far to prove this because sin is still living in us, is it not? We
still lust after sin, don’t we? So, the new heart is not the sinful flesh is it? No, it’s not because
we still got it and we need to learn to separate the fleshly things and the spiritual things in
order to be holy and without blemish.

Ezek 36:26 "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within
you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you
an heart of flesh."

God has worked with His people throughout history fulfilling His Will with measures of
“faith” in each generation completing His appointed times up to these last days. In the last
days He will finally give His full measure of faith (Christ’s Work) to bring the elect unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ to the point of Perfection, (the end of the age),
where He would finish that work, manifesting the Sons of God.

Eph 5:27 "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot,
or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

But while He was working with His church, forgiving her sins, Jer 3:14 "Turn, O
backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will
take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:”
Working with her with the promise that at the end He would bring her to Zion, over and
over, it would always go back to sin, hardening its heart again and again, 1Sam 6:6
"Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh
hardened their hearts?”

over, it would always go back to sin, hardening its heart again and again, 1Sam 6:6
"Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh
hardened their hearts?”
It is interesting to see that even though it is true that they would hardened their heart, it was
God who hardened their hearts so He could soften it again; Isa 63:17 "O LORD, why hast
thou made us to err from thy ways, [and] hardened our heart from thy fear?
Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.”

Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.”
This is all part of the work of God through national Israel and the church age, but there is a
time, which is now, when the whole body of the church, fellowship, religion, of the world
would harden their hearts;
(1Jn 5:19) "... and the whole world lieth in wickedness". And follow after the beast, their
own stinking "good works". Their idol!
When God says; Ps 95:7
"For he [is] our God; and we [are] the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice,Ps 95:8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, [and] as [in] the day of temptation in the wilderness:Ps 95:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw
my work.Ps 95:10 Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation,
and said, It [is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not
known my ways:Ps 95:11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they
should not enter into my rest.”
Today is the day of Perfection, where God is saying that we must enter into His rest. Heb 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first
preached entered not in because of unbelief:So, if you can hear His voice today ....
Heb 4:7 "Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” Today is that day, no more works of the flesh, it is a time of pure holiness, so “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Eph. 5:2
LET’S GET BACK TO MATTHEW 5
You see, Jesus is not, restricting the example to just adultery, that is only an example, He is
talking about the whole law, and we break it in our hearts even before we break it in the
physical, Matt 15:19 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders,
adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:”
talking about the whole law, and we break it in our hearts even before we break it in the
physical, Matt 15:19 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders,
adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:”
But the thing is we are so occupied with the manifestation of the sins, the actions or
behavior simply because we are still in our fleshly or carnal bodies and we still think fleshly
or carnal minded. And all those that are occupied with the manifestations or the “outside”
are carnal Christians, just like the Pharisees.
behavior simply because we are still in our fleshly or carnal bodies and we still think fleshly
or carnal minded. And all those that are occupied with the manifestations or the “outside”
are carnal Christians, just like the Pharisees.
Matt 23:25 "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.Matt 23:26 [Thou] blind Pharisee, cleanse first that [which is] within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.Matt 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness.Matt 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity".
So, what is Jesus trying to teach us when He said, “That whosoever looketh on a
woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” That you can try not to commit adultery, or lie, steal, drink alcohol, smoke or whatever and be a
good outward Christian, but still you’re going to be found guilty of breaking the law and condemned because those sins are already in the flesh, they live there.

Matt 15:19 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:Matt 15:20 These are [the things] which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man".
You see, these things are already in our hearts, and that is what defiles a man, it is not the manifestation of them, or the outward doing of them that defiles a man, the man (the
natural man which is our flesh). It’s already defile and has not been redeemed, it is still
defiled even though you might be saved and have a new spirit, the flesh is still defiled, but
no worries my dear brothers and sister for, Rom 8:3 "For what the law could not do,
in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness
of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh".

You might say, oh yes I believe that BUT I have to obey the physical law as much as I can,
I have to “flee from evil” as much as I can, I have to do this and I have to do that, then
you are a carnal Christian just like any other church goer or any other religion in the world,
no difference, that is what they are being taught in the churches, is it not? And that is what
they are trying to be in the churches, “living the good Christian life” are they not, all in the
flesh. True Christian don’t try to do or to be anything, we just let God do whatever He
wants to do with us and pray He will not lead us into temptation;
Matt 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is
the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

Now, don’t make prayer a work either, (Mat 6:6) "But thou, when thou prayest, enter
into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is
in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly".
into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is
in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly".
Rom 8:26 "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered".”
God does not “motivate” us, energize us, or empower us, to do good like all this religions
(including "Christianity") say. Tha lead us back into works and that is an idol.
God is good, and God is Spirit so the flesh cannot do anything spiritually (good). God does HIS
WILL in all His creation, whether they would do “good” or “evil” and the end we’ll see that everything of God is Good and Just and Righteous.
If God is interested in having us do good works He would cause His children to do HIS
WILL, in fact He causes everybody to do His will, like Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar
had no choice but to come against God’s people when God caused him to do it, and then God destroyed him because he (Nebuchadnezzar), came against His people.
He did the same with Paul, Daniel, me or you. The only exception is if you are a born again
child of God you will not face the penalty of death for what God causes you to do. In the
same matter He causes all people, saved and unsaved to do “good” fleshly things but the
good that they and they do comes from our flesh and it has an evil root,

Rom 7:21 "I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.” So, the "good" that we do is evil. filthy rags.
We always have to keep in mind that Gal 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now
live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God ..." Gal 2:21 "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness [come] by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Because if I do that (try to obtain any kind of righteousness, justification, sanctification, etc.)
then I would frustrate the grace of God, that simple.

The flesh is rotten, wicked above all measure and cannot do good ever, because sin dwells in it, Rom 7:18
"For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not.Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me".
This is the Apostle Paul, a child of God saying that he cannot do good (ever), because sin
dwells in him, which is showing us that what the spirit does in him or doesn’t do is not the
focus. He is only concerned with his sinful nature and how it behaves, bear in mind that he
is full of the Holy Spirit and has a new heart. Why is that so important? Because if you
don’t get this right you are going to rob Jesus of His glory thinking that it is you doing all
this “good works”, being so “obedient”, so “holy”, etc. And end up being a Pharisee!

Paul is not saying that he sometimes does good and sometimes he does evil,
does he?
does he?
The problem is that we as Christians think that we sometimes behave in the flesh and
sometimes behave in the spirit, that is not so, you cannot separate yourself from that flesh
to way you can be Holy as He is Holy or Perfect as He is Perfect one moment and the next
moment you can be sinful as the devil. So, you can keep trying in the flesh, but all you can accomplish is to be a Carnal Christian, and don’t be fooled into thinking that because you
have been saved now you don’t have that fleshly heart, that wicked and stony heart, because
it is there and only God can restrain you from not manifesting some or all of those sins that
already dwell in you and me.

Again, the manifestation of the sins can come at any time when ever God takes the restrain
from it because they are already dwelling in the heart, and is always going to be there until
the flesh is redeemed.
from it because they are already dwelling in the heart, and is always going to be there until

Let’s continue with Matthew 5.
Matt 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee:
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not
[that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not
[that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.
If we think about this we can conclude two things, first: I can do something to be save or to
escape being thrown into hell like cutting some of my physical members, which we know is impossible, or we look at it spiritually, so let’s see what the Bible says;
escape being thrown into hell like cutting some of my physical members, which we know is impossible, or we look at it spiritually, so let’s see what the Bible says;
Matt 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy
whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be
full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is]
that darkness!”
whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be
full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is]
that darkness!”
The eye is the light of the body, so the eye is the spirit that is in you, therefore if that spirit is
the Truth, then you have the Light. But if the spirit that is in you is the Lie, then you are in Darkness, so if the eye that is in you is the Lie then you must pluck it out or you will be cast
into hell. And how can we do that? WE CAN’T. If Christ has done it then you are saved
but if, Christ has not done it you will prove to be reprobate.

Glory to GOD’s Holy Word!
