I have understood from the Father that the Bible is written in a way that if you are spiritual it would speak to your born again spirit and would nourish that spirit but if you are carnal “Christian” it would nourish your flesh, for example if you read John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”The carnal minded man would only see and hear, “that ye believe on him” so he builds up faith of his own and believes, that is a work and would not save him, but the spiritual man would hear, “this is the work of God”, so he knows who does the work of salvation and is saved, that is why God says let him who have ears hear what the Holy Spirit says. Now if we look at the scripture you just quoted we will see the same:
Rom 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
Your good is Jesus (God is good), remember there is nothing good in you Rom 7:18 For “I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not.”, so it is saying let not your Jesus be spoken evil of. If you think there is something good in you then the scripture is going to talk to your flesh and that way you are going to rob Jesus of the Glory He deserves.
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
The kingdom of God is not meat and drink; the kingdom is not what you eat or drink, it is not what you do or don’t do, the kingdom is righteousness, peace, joy, now let me ask you, honestly, Who is Peace, who is righteousness, who is joy? That is Jesus, which is the kingdom, it is not something physical.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ [is] acceptable to God, and approved of men.
You see now, if you’re carnal, the scripture is going to tell you that you must do this or do that to “serve” Christ or be acceptable to God. There’s nothing you can do or anybody can do to be acceptable to God, only what Jesus did is acceptable to God. And don’t let carnal man or your own mind tell you otherwise because it is a strong delusion to think that you can be acceptable to God by doing something.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Here you go now, it is a commandment only Jesus can obey, remember Rom 7:14 for we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.” He obeys and then He imputes His righteousness to us but the flesh still the flesh, the flesh is not spiritual and cannot obey the spiritual law, simple as that.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed [are] pure; but [it is] evil for that man who eateth with offence.
You can eat meat or no eat meat, do this or not do that, whatever you do is not going to destroy the work of God. I know, everytime I say something like this people say to me; Oh! So you are free to sin,you can do whatever you want? And the answer is Yes, I am free, but I only want to do what the Spirit of God leads me to do, Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which Inow live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” The carnal man is not free, he is in bonds to the law, he is under the law and cannot rest. He does not know the rest of God, the freedom with which God made me free, indeed. All things indeed [are] pure, you see, the child of God cannot sin because he is born of God, 1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”
21 [It is] good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor [anything] whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
The Holy Spirit (the Word), will lead you my dear brother.
22 Hast thou faith? Have [it] to thyself before God. Happy [is] he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.
Whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Rom 8:1 “[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.”
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.
Whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
